Join us on a delicious journey through Australia’s ancient history and stories from pre-colonial times and early settlement through modern migration. Via Parramatta we’ll take you on a trip of spectacular destinations where the Mediterranean Meets Asia. Indulge in terrific tastings from Indonesia, China, Vietnam, and the Mediterranean.
This tour will have a special focus on Parramatta food and history and we will show you where to get the best authentic multicultural cuisines in the capitol of Sydney’s West.
Walk the lands of the Darug nation, sharing stories across centuries, Indigenous, colonial, and modern.
Parramatta will surprise even the most local locals. We’ve had guests who have lived, worked, or studied in Parramatta for years, without discovering these food and culture gems!
As the original capital of the colony, Parramatta was the home of the first ten Governors. The arable land made it the colony’s first food bowl. Now Sydney’s booming second central city is overflowing with history and stories. Stories of the First Nation Darug people, the early colonies, and a city in the process of urban renewal.

Yes, advance ticket purchase is required. Events typically sell out quickly. To maximise your chances of getting the date, time, and number of tickets you prefer, please book well in advance.
Yes, bathrooms are available during the tour at selected food-tasting locations.
You should bring a camera/phone and a small bottle of water. If it’s a sunny day, please bring sunscreen/sunnies/a hat.
You should also bring a healthy appetite! 🙂
Please be sure and let us know if you (or anyone in your group) has a dietary restriction (e.g. vegetarian, diabetic, allergy, etc.) when you purchase your tickets. As long as we know in advance, we may be able to accommodate your needs. We note what allergies that we are not able to manage in the tour descriptions.
