This culinary excursion will take you on a culinary journey through migration to Australia through Asia, the Middle East, and beyond!
The tasting adventure starts with delicious Arabic pizza. You will savour delicious Vietnamese hand made rice paper treats, fruit shakes or locally roasted coffee, and explore Bankstown’s gigantic Asian grocery store. You will be wowed by a selection of indulgent Lebanese delights in a spice emporium and one of Sydney’s first Lebanese sweet shops.
This is far from your typical food tour! If you like exploring new cultures and communities and building relationships through food, then this is the experience for you. Let local guides share their secrets on the best places to eat, experience new cuisine and shop for the most authentic dishes and ingredients.
Absolutely not! Our tours combine commentary, historical facts, local culture and culinary insight into unique 3-6 hour experiences. You’ll be guided through Sydney’s best kept secret suburbs, eating local artisans’ most delicious foods while learning about food, culture, and history from local guides.
Tours can be fully re-scheduled or fully converted to tour credit with no admin fees if 4 or more days notice is given.
Cancellations/changes made in less than 3 days before the tour: There will be no refunds or re-scheduling possible. In the case of illness only, tours can be converted to tour credit minus a 25% admin fee for the individual or group. Please note, a doctor’s certificate may be required.
The tours are held rain or shine. In the event of a heat wave warning, we may cancel tours if the forecast is around 40c. In the event of inclement weather, we will be able to go inside many of the establishments on the tour.
We advise to check the weather conditions for your day’s event and dress appropriately.
Yes! Our tours are family friendly. Children under 5 can attend for free and we have kid tickets (for 5-11 year olds) and youth tickets (12-18) available. All children and youth must be accompanied by an adult.
Please be sure and let us know if you (or anyone in your group) has a dietary restriction (e.g. vegetarian, diabetic, allergy, etc.) when you purchase your tickets. As long as we know in advance, we may be able to accommodate your needs. We note what allergies that we are not able to manage in the tour descriptions.
